
This event is designed for everyone who wants a fun day out and a personal active challenge to complete.
With an extra focus for people living with long-term health conditions or those facing barriers to getting active.
But especially those people who feel an ‘event’ may not be for them… we’re here to say ‘it is!’
We also don’t have all the answers on how to make this event perfect for everyone taking part so we will be listening all the way up to the event to see how we can adapt and develop things.
There’s no set distance to complete. You can choose to do 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 kilometres — and you can decide on the day what feels right. Change your mind halfway? That’s no problem!
The 9 to 5k is here to bring our work-place teams together, provide a challenge to aim for and have some fun in the journey to the day and of course on the day itself!
Naturally the event is open to all, you don’t have to be part of a workplace team to take part.
It’s not about pace, PBs, or who finishes first — it’s about showing up and moving in whatever way works for you.
A shared experience and challenge that will help to bring teams together (or maybe create a lifelong nemesis, some teams get a little competitive!).
