North Lincolnshire Activities

Funetics is our FREE coached program to introduce junior athletes aged 4-11 to athletics, throwing and jumping.

Based at the fantastic Quibell Park Athletics track in Scunthorpe and kindly sponsored by Singleton Birch.

Sessions take place every Friday from 17:00-19:00

Please only join this Facebook group (click here) if you are a parent of one of the athletes or one of our coaches / leaders. For safeguarding purposes we can't let none attendees join.

ps: its super popular so we've got a waiting list but we are working on finding more volunteers and funding to help!

We hire out Quibell Park Athletics Track for you lovely people to use to walk, talk, jog and run for FREE... and you can do your own thing, join up with friends or follow the session on the board. 

It's suitable for all abilities (if in doubt... just ask, were very friendly :)) 

Ran by our volunteers 'Chip and Dale' (and occasionally Curly makes tea... he can't be trusted with keys!)

During the summer we're based at Normanby Hall Country Park and as the nights draw in then we move to the nearby village of Burton upon Stather and various Scunthorpe based locations.

We are incredibly excited to be supporting Curly’s Athletes in North Lincolnshire.

This year we will proudly be the headline sponsor for our local Brigg Poppy 10k, alongside with supporting Curlys to continue their amazing free FUNETICS coaching programme for kids based at the fantastic Quibell Park Athletics track in Scunthorpe. 

Singleton Birch are pleased to be supporting the North Lincolnshire community to get active, grow our local events, bring more visitors to the area and support great charities.

We are really looking forward to seeing us grow the Brigg Poppy 10k experience and develop the free funetics coaching programme for our junior athletes in Scunthorpe. 

It’s going to be an exciting time working in partnership with the lovely Singleton Birch team, who are just as excited as we are and we’ve had lots of very excitable chats about the future!

Our local Canpack team based in Scunthorpe have provided our lovely coaching volunteers with some rather fetching volunteer kit for 2025!

The new team kit allows our amazing volunteers to be easily recognised when they are coaching or trying to tell the adults what to do, plus it looks cool!
